§ 250.040. Organization; Emergency Management Coordinator; Appointment, Responsibilities; Appointment Of Personnel.

  • A. 
    Appointment. An Emergency Management Coordinator for the conduct of emergency operations shall be appointed by the Mayor and shall serve until removed by the same.
    B. 
    Responsibilities. The Emergency Management Coordinator shall have such responsibilities for the organization and administration of emergency management functions for the City of Blue Springs and shall serve as a member on the CJCEMA Coordinating Committee as delegated by the Mayor as Chief Executive Officer subject to the direction and control of the Mayor, City Administrator and City Council.
    C. 
    Appointment Of Personnel. The Emergency Management Coordinator shall have the power to appoint without compensation or remove any personnel as needed by the Agency for its efficient operation.
